Sunday Morning Dawg

Last week, the dog was hanging out on the back patio and I was sniping pictures of him. Sometimes he'll pick up a bit of plastic or paper and carry it around in his mouth. Here we see him chillin' on the patio with a piece of white plastic in his mouth.

He's the Chillin' on the Patio, Sunday Morning Dawg.

Can I borrow Beau next week? I'm coming home and Buffy may need a friend! On a side note, do you have martini's ready for me? :)

Fran - Beau is always ready to play. And if you tell me what ingredients you need, we'll have the fixins ready.

When I was in High School, I had a friend (no, really, I really had a friend) who had a huge blue eyed Malemute named Duke. Duke loved kittens and would carry any available one around in his mouth. It looked scary because he always carried the kitten by its head. He never harmed one, but they sure got wet. Too bad no one had cellphone cameras in the mid 50's. When the kitten du jur began struggling Duke would put it down so it could catch its breath, at which time he would lick it clean all over. I don't remember any of the local cats running from him, or even paying him any mind, so it mustn't have been too traumatic for them. When Duke took a nap, several cats usually nested on and/or under him. To the best of our knowledge, Duke never had mice.
